Just parking this from Norwich New York’s first drive-in Theatre. They had a naming contest in 1949. For a city that had Smell, the Florist – giving away flowers to all the ladies on opening day – the contest winner was the Norwich Drive-In Theatre? Opening for the ozoner was April 20, 1950 with the films, “Gungfghters” and “Mary Lou.”
