Didn’t this opened in 1997?

The Kansas City Star – January 4, 1998 Theaters intensify traffic at Barry Road The opening of a 24-screen movie theater has heightened an already vexing traffic problem at a key Northland intersection – Interstate 29 and Northwest Barry Road.Traffic congestion already was an issue east of I-29 as the Boardwalk Square shopping center expanded and the BarryWoods Crossing shopping center opened. The recent opening of AMC Entertainment Inc.’s BarryWoods 24 movie megaplex with 5,000 seats has added more problems.``Ever since they opened, that.

I just saw Journey To The Center Of The Earth 3-D here in Auditorium 5 (the REAL-D auditorium). I like that auditorium and the REAL-D presentation was great.

I made a mistake. I saw Inspector Gadget at the Ward Parkway. The actual first time I was here was April 20th, 2007, when I saw Meet The Robinsons in 3-D and Hot Fuzz (in a nearly 600 seat auditorium). Great theatre.

I live right behind this theater and I come here frequently for first run attractions. Very nice, very very clean! I just wish AMC would keep their prices from rising ever so slightly every time I come to see a movie.

Not many white and black trash 13-16 year olds hang out in front. That’s what makes this one worth going to.

This is my favorite AMC theatre. It issn’t overcrowded like the Studio 30 or Town Center 20 and it has a nice space theme atmosphere. Also worth mentioning is the echo chamber in the middle of the lobby can be fun at times.

There’s 3 other AMC Odyssey 24s just like this in the AMC Chain and these are:
AMC Oak View Odyssey 24 in Omaha, NE (looks excatly like Barrywoods 24 from the photos I saw of it) pictures are at: View link and http://www.cinematour.com/tour.php?db=us&id=3936

AMC Hampton Towne Centre 24 in Hampton, VA: Pictures are at View link and http://www.cinematour.com/tour.php?db=us&id=5799

AMC Winston Churchill 24 in Oakville, ON, CA (Toronto Area): pictures are at View link

I went to this theatre August 1999 and saw Inspector Gadget. I don’t remember much other than it was big, nice and every theatre was big (I could also hear dialogue from the finanically succesful crap-fest The Blair Witch Project). I was nine when I went my only (so far) appearance, it was a young film fan’s dream (today, that would be a 30 screen mainstream/art-house cinema with the style of the old movie palaces, double features, revivals, popcorn seasonings and well-behaved attendants and employees).
