- Jun 15, 2010 — Super Cinemas in Davenport to be demolished
The Showcase Cinemas Davenport was the first multiplex to open in Davenport, with ten screens. The theatre opened June 15, 1990 by National Amusements showing first run attractions. It did great business until National Amusements opened its Showcase Cinemas 53 located on 53rd Street. It was renamed Super Cinema Davenport on March 31, 2000 as a sub run discount house after the opening of the Showcase 53. It was closed December 3, 2000. It was demolished in 2010.

Should have kept the Oasis Drive-in Theatre!!
They should renovate this theater to kept the place open to see movie but no they have to closed the super cinema davenport theater.
