Its also the first THX-certified theater in Georgia.

This opened on October 24th, 1986. Grand opening ad in photo section.

The conversion of the Merchants Walk Cinemas into a stadium-style multiplex for Georgia Theatre Company II was designed by Alpharetta, Georgia, architectural firm Hiscutt & Associates.

Glad to see it’s still operational — i worked there in 1987, when an 8-screen theatre was still revolutionary.
