The Tuggle was built to replace the Theatorium after a fire in 1927, shortly after the latter theater’s opening in November of that year. It was sold and renamed the West Blocton Theatre in March, 1930. It was then sold to Neeley’s and renamed The Strand before 1933. The theater closed on October 21, 1962. The property is not in use as of today.
