Oglesby Theater

The Oglesby theater was closed when we moved to Garland in 1949. I remember there was a very popular religious movie that came out in about 1954. The Oglesby Theater reopened. The movie was held over for months. The theater started showing other movies for a while but closed again. I don’t remember if it was open for a full year of not. It was located on the Garland square next to Bakers Hardware on the southeast corner of the square. The Oglesbys owned a jewelry store as I remember.
