Newspaper ad from 1968 showing what was playing at the 72 Drive-In

This drive-in was owned by C. Crute and has space for 400 cars. It opened on August 5, 1960 with Steve Reeves in “The Giant of Marathon”. It was closed in 1979. The property is now an office park.

The above address is incorrect.

The actual address for this drive-in was 4404 University Dr. NW. The entrance was where Knights Inn Motel now stands. Evangel is where the back of the theater stood.

Named that because of Interstate 72 by it.
