The Amendola Theatre was built for vaudeville in 1922. It was renamed Rainbo Theatre by 1930. This popular neighborhood theatre was closed in 1957 and was demolished in July 1967. The site is now Columbus Square Park and Gazebo, where a plaque commemorates the theatre’s past history.
