A B-movie house located in a row of commercial buildings. I saw the interior after it had long been gutted. It was a short/wide space with tin ceiling and a large WE ‘Rams Horn’ speaker hanging near the back wall (wish I had that now!) I am sure it was an unimpressive affair upstaged by the beautiful Capitol Theater down the street.

My father related this childhood story: the lobby was clad in mirrors which created many repeat images of the patrons. The story was that you could walk in backwards and the cashier would think you were exiting.

Listed as the Amauzu in the 1945-46 International Motion Picture Almanac. Operated by the Comerford-Publix chain at that point.
