The Pastime Theatre was on the second floor of the building. It stopped showing movies sometime back in the 1930’s. The theatre space then began use for businesses.

This property no longer exists. It sat almost across from the Capitol Theatre. There is a bank to the right of it and a building behind what was the theatre so it must have been a very small neighborhood theatre with only maybe 100-200 seats. You can see what shape the property was.

According to mapquest, Tremont is just down the road from the Opera House, a few blocks away. It is another theater that I’ll post on here, at 396 Main Street and it’s now demolished.

The ‘Pastime Theatre", according to my father (born 1907 – passed away 9 years ago) was on the 2nd floor of the building across the street from the 'Opera House’. That building is still there today. It is the white 2 story in the street view, to the far left of what once was the bank.

He used to go there as a young boy (and to the “Opera House') to watch movies.

The ‘Tremont Theater’ was located on the south westerly corner of Main & Tremont Sts., a good ¼ mile South of this location.

The Pastime Theatre opened September 5, 1910 on the second floor of the Gardner Building which was the former YMCA. It is now demolished.
