“Playboy Lounge was owned by Jerry Friedland, who sold it in 1964. By that point the name had changed to Playgirl Lounge because Playboy Magazine gave Friedland $5000 to change it.

A sign for Sugie’s Lounge can be seen in the background. Sugie’s operated from 1956 to 1960, when the name was changed to Satire Lounge."
