- Jun 25, 2008 — The doors of Pearisburg theater open again
The Pearis Theatre was opened in 1939 when it was listed with 600 seats. It was closed as a movie theatre in March 1986.
The Pearis Theater was reopened in 2013 by Chris & Amy Buchanan who are taking donations to renovate the theatre.

The Pearis Theater opened in 1939 and closed as a movie house in March 1986. It reopened a few years later as a concert/live/community center.
