The Bonham Drive-In was opened by Cole Theatres on July 11, 1950 with John Wayne in “Three Godfathers”. It had a capacity for 304 cars, and there were 54 seats for walk-in patrons. It was closed in April 1987.

Hwy 82 is now a freeway north of this location.

The drive-in was located at what is now the SE corner of Texas 56 and FM 4130.

H.S. Cole launched the Bonham Drive-In on July 11, 1950 with John Wayne in the “Three Godfathers” for its grand opening plus fireworks.

Go to Google Street view. The marquee is still there, and looks pretty darn good!
