The AMC Willowbrook 24 was opened on November 19, 1999. It replaced the earlier Willowbrook 8, later Willowbrook Mall Cinema with 10 screens (which has its own page on Cinema Treasures).

This AMC opened in 1989 along with EXPO Design Center, Linens ‘N Things, and Mikasa (all closed now).
This theater is across from the mall. It replaced both an AMC at the mall and one in another plaza across the street. The one at the mall I think was demolished since then, but I moved away in 1991.
The address of this theater is 17145 Tomball Parkway
Houston, TX 77064. When I just looked it up, it said “place closed” for some odd reason. Maybe someone mixed it up with the one it replaced.
The Willowbrook 8, and later known as Willowbrook 10, opened in 1987. This 24 plex replaced the Willowbrook 10 (and eventually the old General Cinema 6 Plex inside Willowbrook mall) on November 19, 1999.
