College Theatre

Just off the campus of Lehigh University on the south side of Bethlehem, PA on Fourth Street. The College Theatre was opened by 1929. By 1950 it was operated by Liggett-Florin Booking Service.

During the 1970’s it showed adult films. I played there in a band in the late-1970’s just before it closed for good.

The block was torn down in the 1990’s.

The Goosey Gander restaurant is at this address currently. Another restaurant called South Side Steel is on the second floor. I don’t know if this building is the former theater or a replacement.

Lehigh University bought the entire block in the 1970s and tore all of the buildings down, including the theater.
