Here is a POSTCARD IMAGEof the Strand Theatre in 1946. The films listed on the marquee are California with Barbara Stanwyck and Ray Milland and Night Train to Memphis as the co-feature.

I passed this former theater last week. It was hard since the above picture is not what the building looks like now, at least with the oval windows. The whole long building is there, reminiscent of a scene in the old west. There’s a bunch of shops there and a bike shop on the far left.

I just photographed this former theatre today. There are no shops in this building anymore. It is now an apartment building known as the White Oak Apartments. It also houses the White Oak Construction Corp. in the back. The address is 7 West Main St.

Right. I spoke with the historical society about this last week as they only work one day a week and took a while to get back to me. The building does stand.
