The former Plaza Theatre was originally called the Wonderland Theatre, which first opened in 1913. In the late-1940’s it was taken over by Commonwealth Amusement.

Today it is home to an art gallery and retail store with a Scandinavian theme (reflecting Lindsborg’s Swedish background) called the Courtyard Gallery which opened in 1984.

I worked at this theatre as a projectionist from 1958-62 while attending Bethany College. It operated year ‘round. At the time I was there it was owned and operated by Al Lambert. After he left Lindsborg I believe he went to Smith Center KS to a theatre there.
