The Palace Theatre was formerly known as the E.W. Bickle Theatre. It opened on November 21, 1940 with Clark Gable in “Boom Town”. A fire in Summer 2007
damaged the building and the Palace Theatre was temporarily closed.
Sadly, the damage was too extensive and the building was demolished in April 2008.

My mother ran this theatre for the first 9 years of my life. There was a decent sized two bedroom apartment above the theatre, we lived there until i was 4.
I am wondering if the Rialto Theatre’s delightful retro facade is a tribute to the Palace!
