In the mid 60’s the Golden Gate became San Francisco’s second Cinerama theatre. A drop ceiling covered up the original entrance and an escalator was installed on one side. A subsequent renovation exposed the original look (the escalator was also removed) and a more recent renovation is pictured here. Photo by Kyle Jefffers.
