Crystal Cinema

The Crystal Cinema was located in the Molenbeek district of Brussels. It opened in 1933 and had seating arranged in stalls and balcony.

Architect Paul Mignot was employed in 1956 to carry out alterations to the facade, and possibly the interior.

The Crystal Cinema closed in 1972 and became disused. It was purchased by the city and was awaiting re-furbishment in 1995 when seen by the Cinema Theatre Association(UK) on a visit to Brussels in 1995. However at that time the interior was said to be in a dangerous condition.

It has since been demolished and a post office is now on the site.

There is now a post office on this address, and nothing that is even slightly reminiscant of what could have been a cinema, unlike the former Forum a few buildings down the road.
