The Roxy Theatre, which was located on South Main Street at New Castle Street, was destroyed by a fire in the 1970s.

I couldn’t find in the above article where it mentioned the Roxy though will keep looking.

The week of April 20-26, 1977 the Roxy had “The Town That Dreaded Sundown”, but did not play any films the next 9 weeks after that…perhaps that was the last film there.

Haven’t visited this link in awhile and was surprised to relearn the existence of this theatre in Slippery Rock PA. It is a shame that this theatre burned as it would continue to be a nice addition to a quaint college PA town.
