Theater was owned by Theaters Service Co. from 1945-1950, Brimont Booking Co. Inc. from 1955-1980, and Gulf International Cinema 1980-85 (when it closed).
After closing as a movie theater, the Ritz building was divided into office space.

I saw the last movie to play at the Ritz. It was Hercules starring Lou Ferrigno. That was around August or September of 1983. There was no word at all of the theatre closing. All of a sudden they just shut down. As far as the inside of the theatre, it did have a balcony.

Actually the original address for the Ritz was 3206 Pascagoula St., The Watts address is for the entrance in the side that the current occupants have made.
