The Mayfair Theatre was situated in the Tai Kok Tsui district on the Kowloon side of Hong Kong.
It opened to business on 29th December 1966 with a Mandarin film. Its 1,401-seat auditorium with balcony was on the ground floor of the theatre building.
It showed first run Chinese dialect films until its closure on 12th February 1990.
In the 1980’s, the anniversary celebrations of the Republic of China were held at the theatre.
A residential building was built on the site of the theatre.
