projectionist at this site and when opened on premiere night with most of 12 screens operating , four main larger screens running lethal weapon 4 SR-D ( dts hardly used expect test print extracts backdraft , far way , born on 4th july ) other films armageddon SR-D , saving private ryan SR-D , and i and another projectionist , we took actual “ turns of titanic SR-D ” the cake platter motor circuit card failed and everyone standing around wondering how to get titanic running as the audience was coming in .

top cake platter circuit card is okay middle one okay its the print that is on the bottom platter ? someone suggested turning the patter winding off the film to projector by hand which had to be tuned and maintained at certain speed so as not to have the film snapping breaking .

so i and girl projectionist we got on the floor crossed our legs and started turning the platter slowly get the speed up and then kept doing that , taking , turns for about around 3hrs 25mins , ads and trailers , Dolby trailer and titanic . and no one in the audience knew it was actually being projected by hand .
