The Denali Theatre was opened by 1957. This theatre was destroyed in the 1964 earthquake that caused severe damage to Anchorage.

That looks like the photo posted on the Bear Tooth Pub page. Are these two different theaters?

June 7 1990 Now showing at the DENALI THEATRE is “I LOVE YOU DEATH"and "JOE VS THE VOLCANO” matinees Saturday and sunday 1.50 a seat located at 1230 W 27th Ave.

Right. The original Denali was downtown on 4th Ave and was part of the land that sunk many feet. This listing is for that theater but the photo is of the new Denali in Spenard which eventually became the Bear Tooth.
