In the small village of Walhain Saint Paul near Gembloux (which had 1,565 inhabitants), there was a cinema in the 1950’s. The Cine Le Manoir was the property of family Grenier Palange. It showed films as the same time as the Brussels district cinemas, for example “The Bridge on the River Kwai” in March 1959.

Like other small town or village cinemas it closed on the mid-1960’s due the growth of television, and since then it became a ballroom.
