Located to the north of Cardiff, close to Pontypridd and Caerphilly. The 12-screen Showcase Cinema opened on 19th November 1999. All screens have 216 seats each.
In 2019, the letters on Showcase cinema’s screening sign were rearranged overnight. Films screening at the time including “Angry Bird 2” and “The Lion King”, had their titles rearranged to spell out offensive and rude titles. This caught the attention of local media, and although many people received it as tongue-in-cheek, many others did not. The culprit of the rearranged letters was not caught.
