Twin Terrace Drive-In

Maggie Scott was already the "first lady" of theaters in Odessa when she opened the Twin Terrace Drive-In on January 2, 1953 with Charlton Heston in “The Savage” & Sterling Hayden in “Hellgate”. It was Odessa’s largest with 1,250 auto spaces and a covered 1,000 seat viewing space for walk-in customers. The Scott family put on a huge open house celebration the day preceding the grand opening that included free snacks and cartoons. The Scotts had 20 big years in the business. Lynne Teeter took over the Twin Terrace Drive-In and closed it in 1980. Not a trace of it remains today.
