The Beverly Theatre launched April 25, 1916 with “Peggy” and its $5,000 Wurlitzer pipe organ. By May of 1955, television was taking its toll as the Beverly reduced to just three days a week operation and was closed later that year by the Fox Circuit just missing its 40th anniversary.
