Located in the southeast London district of Bermondsey, on the south bank of the River Thames. The Grand Cinema opened in 1914 with 650 seats. It was operated by the Grand Central Company. In the 1930’s, the seating capacity had been reduced to 500 and it was running pictures and variety.

The Grand Cinema struggled through the heavy bombing that the area endured during World War II, but closed around the end of 1945.

In 2009, B.E.W. Electrical Distributors operates from this address, but I’m not sure if its the original Grand Cinema building.
