Located in the business section of Sigourney, a block east of the Main Street, the Garden Theatre was in operating prior to 1941. The site is now the home to Jackie’s Beauty Salon. Any further info on the Garden Theatre would be greatly appreciated.

I lived in Sigourney in 1973 and 1974. My dad and I saw quite a few movies at this theater during that time: a couple of Woody Allen comedies, Legend Of Boggy Creek, Pippi Longstockings, McQ, just to name a few. The theater closed down, I believe, around the end of 1974; when we returned to the area in 1975, it was closed.
