SEATING, CIELA VISTA IN THE MALL, I,2,3, WAS 475, 425. 250 G.C.C. HAD A CINEMA IN THE PARKING LOT CINEMA 4,5,6, 150, 150, 300, LATER MORE WERE ADDED TO THE FREE STANDING CINEMA 4,5,6, ANOTHER FOUR WITH SEATING OF 300, 300, 250

SEATING CINEMA one 424, two 425, three 250 these theater were inside of the mall, in parking lot later was built by G.C.C. theater 4,5,6, seating four 150, five 150, six, 300, then later G.C.C. added three more to the parking lot, seven 300, eight 250, nine 200, all G.C.C. theater now gone replace by new theater of CINEMARK

I was the manager of the Cinema as well as the Cielo Vista 7 in the parking lot from 1979 thru 1989, Edgar Phinney, mis the old days

I must’ve been drinking when I posted a pic of the new Cinemark… ugh. No… no pictures of the theatre inside the mall… I wish. Also the theatre outside the mall was demolished to make way for the Cinemark.

Cinema I was equipped for 70mm presentation, though I doubt they ran much, if anything, in 70.

i google earth the address and serch cinemas , I also check cinemark website and the theater is listed

Cielo Vista Mall Cinema I-II-III had the El Paso exclusive booking of the original “Star Wars,” which ran a city record 26 weeks (followed by a 12-week moveover run at Montwood 3).

Newspaper advertising generally cited the address as “I-10 at Hawkins,” though I believe the actual address to be 8401 Gateway Blvd West.
