Map here shows the cinema clearly marked, near Lord Street http://maps.nls.uk/view/103196764 The cinema location would have been in West Ham, not North Woolwich. North Woolwich derives from the former “Detached Woolwich” (which was administratively part of Kent from 1086 to 1965), from Kennard Street eastwards.

There are a number of photographs of Albert Road Silvertown from around the period of the cinema’s existence on this website here http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/s/silvertown/index.shtml

The geography of Albert Road means that some properties are not easily visible, but the link might provide some useful information regarding the locality.

Hi, I don’t think the Google map image is correct. The address of the cinema is noted elsewhere as 60 Albert Road, London, E16. I think Google maps this incorrectly, as the numbers on this road are not equidistant and there are few remaining buildings with addresses directly on Albert Road. The location Google is showing above is approx 206 Albert Road. The cinema address marking should be further west. There is a doctors surgery at 76 Albert Road so the site of the former cinema would be further west still, closer to the former Silvertown rail station, I think.
