The 761-seat Golden Flower Theatre was a neighbourhood cinema situated in Sheung Kwai Chung in the New Territories. Its stalls only auditorium was on the first floor of the theatre building with the lobby on the ground floor.

The theatre opened to business on the night of 11th February 1983 with a Mainland China documentary film. It showed first run Chinese language films until the mid-1990’s, and before its closure in the early-2000’s, adult films were shown.

After extensive renovation, the theatre was renamed as the Global Art Centre, and opened to business on 18th May 2008. The projector room of the former Golden Flower Theatre was converted into a box, and a lift connected the box with the stalls, was installed in the rear part of the auditorium. A small stage was added for the performance of Thailand-style variety shows. The Global Arts Centre was closed in February 2010.
