The Ritz Theater was opened by 1932. It was listed as (Closed) in 1936. It had reopened by 1937. It was still open until the auditorium was destroyed by fire in March 1942. The facade survived.
The former home of the Ritz Theater is a very ornate brick building that, as of 2009, stands forlorn and abandoned in Greggton, a small suburb of Longview.
