A few more details from Yumpu’s bound copy that’s missing a few letters.

Boxoffice, Aug. 6, 1955: “Brownwood, Tex. - Mr. and Mrs. ?ck Needham’s new Bluff-Vue Drive-In has opened recently on the Coleman highway near the foot of Bangs Hill. It is equipped for CinemaScope, Superscope or VistaVision, with a four-channel magnetic sound. The refreshment and snack center is equipped with stainless steel fixtures and has a 40-foot counter. Vari-Colored indirect lighting is used.”

The Bluffvue Drive-In launched June 24, 1955 with “Ma and Pa Kettle Go to Waikiki.” It was never advertised as the “Bluff View” except by the church that used the grounds for services which was in error. All ads from 1955 to 1977 use Bluffvue. The Meagher Theatre Circuit took on the facility along with the Camp Bowie following 1965 season.

The screen tower was torn down sometime between 2006 and 2007. The concession building was gone by early 2000, only the foundation remains. The metal frame of the marque remains standing as of July 2018.
