Located on the East side of Edgware Road near the corner with Church Street, the Electric Empire Theatre was operating by May 2010 and was a conversion of a furniture store. Interior decorations were by Philip A. Boakbinder. It was operated by Electric Empires Ltd. who also operated the Palaceum, Kings Road, Chelsea, which closed in March 2017 as the Cineworld Chelsea and has been demolished (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures).

Around 1912 the Electric Empire Theatre it was renamed Imperial Cinematograph Theatre, and was operating until around 1940.

In 2009, a Ladroke’s bookmakers occupies the newer building on the site.
