The Maple Leaf Village Theatre was located in Niagara Falls at the Maple Leaf Village Centre, which was an indoor and outdoor theme park. Built in 1969, the Maple Leaf Village Centre had shopping, restaurants, museums, haunted scream houses, lazer tag, a giant outdoor ferris wheel, and rides.

The Village Theatre was located on the second floor near the food court. It was a decorative theater with old movie posters through out the lobby and plush seating that held up to 710 people.

The Maple Leaf showed cartoon film festivals in the day time and first and second-run films at night. Sometimes they would have magic shows, lazer shows and other live performances.

Sadly, the Maple Leaf Village Theatre closed in 1993 and then the entire Maple Leaf Village Centre was reconstructed and turned into the Casino Niagara.

Now don’t get me wrong, I enjoy Casino Niagara, But when you consider all that was lost, I mean this city has gotten pretty boring with what has been constantly replaced to create these casinos.
