July 30, 1993 grand opening ad in photo section.

Ha ha, Dennis commented. I was there when you were manager. I miss those days. Writing bad things on the signs out front that ya’ll never knew about, driving cars through burning cardboard standups in the back parking lot, watching that old lady drink while tearing tickets. Fun times were had in that place.

According to a newspaper article covering the theater’s July 30, 1993 opening, the seating capacities were as follows:

  • Theaters 1, 4, 8, & 9 – 156 seats

  • Theaters 2 & 3 – 132 seats

  • Theater 5 – 204 seats

  • Theater 6 – 372 seats

  • Theater 7 – 288 seats

  • Theater 10 – 234 seats

The theater was actually closed on July 15, 2005, three weeks after the Pinnacle 18 opened.

Quite frankly i could watch a film in our old GCC theatre seats.

Why couldn’t they install stadium seating instead of another tax right off.

Theater is now raised and an Ingles Grocery Store is on the former site.

I was GM at this location in 1999 (When Star Wars Phantom Menace opened). It was a standard Regal location. I believe it is the only location that a wet ceiling tile fell on Mike Campbell’s head while he was watching a film there.
