The 3 Lakes Theatre was one of the theaters originally built from a Quonset hut, and opened on June 12, 1949. It had a seating capacity of 346, all on a single floor. It ran continually until about 1973 - then closed.
It was turned into apartments and retail store. Now about 75% complete renovation - showing second run movies and planning full movie program in future - looking for older films on 35mm. It has an art gallery in front - concessions include wine and beer - located inside the theater itself. Have live performances as well. Opened again in June, 2009. The theatre was designed by famous baseball player, Fred (Cy) Williams
