Neuadd Ogwen

Located at the rear of the Victoria Hotel in Bethesda, near Bangor, Gwynedd. The Ogwen Cinema was a small cinema that was operating on an occasional basis, mainly during summer months from the early-1950’s. It had a 22 feet wide proscenium and a 15 feet deep stage, with two dressing rooms. It was equipped with a British Thomson Houston(BTH) sound system.

Today it operates as concert and community arts centre venue named Neuadd Ogwen and in 2021 it was undergoing a restoration and renovation to be re-opened as a cinema.

The Ogwen no longer operates as a cinema,the projection equipment has been sold off to another cinema.

The Google image above only partly shows the cinema’s entrance as it’s unfortunately obscured by the red van.
