Nearby Theaters
Located in the east London district of Mile End, opposite the Peoples Palace. The Stepney Cinema was opened around 1911 with seating for 274. It was operated by Louis Cohen. It was later enlarged to 904 seats and by 1937 was operating as the Coliseum Cinema with Louis Cohen & B. Cohen as operators.
It was closed around 1940, possibly due to conditions during World War II and was possibly bombed and later demolished.
Housing was built on the site.
