New Malden Picture Palace

Located just to the north of New Malden Railway Station, across the street from the current K-Town BBQ Restaurant, in this south-east Greater London district near to Kingston upon Thames. The Cinema opened on July 26, 1911. Alterations were carried out by 1913, and it was re-named New Malden Picture Palace. The New Malden Picture Palace was closed in 1922.

It was last used in the late-2010’s as a pool hall and karaoke venue (which used a cinema screen within the proscenium). The building together with the adjoining parade of shops was demolished in 2021 to build 77 new homes and some retail/commercial units.
