An early Covington theater that met a premature end. The Victoria Theater was owned by the Shafer family, who also owned the Shirley Theater, the Family Theater and the Delmar Theater in town.

The Victoria Theater and Delmar Theater were ordered closed on February 9, 1922 by Alfred B. Daley, the Covington Building Inspector. Both theaters were found to be below the city’s new standards for public buildings, which were enacted as a result of the collapse of the roof at the Knickerbocker Theater in Washington, D.C. That incident killed 98 and injured more than 130 more, the collapse was due to heavy snow left by a massive snowstorm.

The foundation of this theater is concealed by what is now the South Side Baptist Church located on the west side of Holman Avenue at 15th Street.
