The Fox Theatre was opened by National General Theatres on October 26, 1967 with Sidney Poitier in “To Sir, With Love”. It was twinned on December 20, 1972. I barely remember what the place looked like since I was so young but I remember seeing “The Black Hole”, “Chariots of Fire”, and “Raiders of the Lost Ark” there. The concession stand was smack in the middle of the lobby and the theatres were on either side. The Fox Theatre was closed November 7, 1985 and is now a Mercede-Benz dealership.
