The design of the rooftop sign was very similar to the Fairfax in Oakland. Curious if it was built by the same company.

Spent most of my week-ends here during the 40s. Walked to and fro about 15 city blocks day or night. Dishes and green stamps, too.

I went to many Saturday Matinees in the 40s, I met my wife there in 57. Did plumbing in the apartment building in the 70s.

Stylistically it had many interior ornamental details in common with the Rivoli Theatre on San Pablo near University in Berkeley, still standing as a Smart & Final store, with the auditorium ornament mostly intact and visible.
