Opened in 1953, the owners of the Blue Skies Drive-In on Zelienople Road were E. Flesher, John Popesuco and Moore Theatre Services. In 1958 the owners of the Blue Sky were J. Glorioso and J. Foverite. Capacity was 450 cars. Location was on Route 288 between Ellwood City and Zelienople.

Historic Aerials shows the location of the Blue Sky on PA 288 from the 1969 satellite map, about 5 miles east of Ellwood City and 10 miles west of Zelienople. The drive-in site is now occupied by at least two houses (on Field St.) and Sturges Orchard Farm Market.
Boxoffice, Sept. 1, 1958: “John Popescu of the Blue Sky (sic?) Drive-In near Ellwood City, celebrated his fifth anniversary there very profitably. For two evenings the patrons were admitted for five cents, and approximately 2,000 were counted. Each year at anniversary time Popescu exploits the event with fireworks, giveaways, etc.”
