I never thought,TLSLOEWS that Jean’s theatre would come up. Haven’t heard from her in years. She is down below Tampa last I heard, Should have tracked her down when I drove down to Nick’s to visit the TAMPA THEATRE. small World. Heard from Robin yet? I don’t think I am going to make her Theatre party we have a show that night and i really need the money. I am going to try and make it.

The Tampa was great, They had Mary Poppins set to play that day. Nick said it was a movie that the audience sang out with. I said no thanks. I ain’t much for musicals to begin with. Sure didn’t want some off key singer behind he. Had another flick been set we would have stayed. We toured the whole theatre. I had to correct the tour guide when she told the tour the Platter was the original projector equipment. I then explained change overs. I know you hate people like me. But you WOULD NOT HAD LET HER continue to tell folks that 35mm platter was always there. Oh,maybe you would.

You must have gotten out of the business way before I did. National Hills did not have platters when it was single screen, nor did the Imperial, but every other theatre was Automated that i worked.

YOU had to have worked in older theatres, because the platters hit this town when MASTERS 4 opened in 1975.But i was never in the booth except to fool around after hours.
