The Anas Theater was opened in 1940. Thomas Anas was the general manager of Weir Cove Theaters in the late-1940’s. The chain was headquartered on Main Street in Weirton.
The Anas Theater was still open in 1950.

Cool. I saw this building last March and I had no idea it was a theater.
Here is my picture from March 2010.
Is there any evidence this building was ever a theatre? It doesn’t look like one and I have found information that says it was the offices for the Anas theatres.
Further research indicates the Anas Theatre opened in 1927 as the Manas Theatre before being renamed in 1940. It was on Main St at Avenue E and has long since been demolished for a steel plant.
