Nolan Theatre

Opened as the Palace Theatre on January 6, 1923 with seating listed at 408. It became the Nolan Theatre on October 27, 1938. It was operated by Robb & Rowley-United Theatres when it closed in November 1950. It went into retail use, but has since been demolished.

From the early 1920s a postcard view of the Robb & Rowley Palace Theatre in Sweetwater which may have also served as the Masonic Hall in Sweetwater.

This venue launched January 6, 1923 as the Palace Theatre. Robb & Rowley closed the Nolen in November of 1950. The local Russell’s Department Store took on the property and extended its store incorporating the former Nolan Theatre relaunching its larger store on October 24, 1951.
